A head and shoulders portrait bust on green marble pedestal. Sir Robert Hadfield was a member of the council 1906–1940, benefactor to the university and 1911 Hon D. Met. The sculptor Frederick James Halnon studied at Goldsmith's College under Alfred Drury and exhibited at the Royal Academy from 1904.
