Sir John Ferguson Bell JP Mayor of Derby November 9th 1928 to November 19th 1929 and May 14th 1930 to November 9th 1930. This portrait was presented to Sir John as a mark of esteem by the staff and employees of the Derby Gas Light & Coke Co., in 1931 and by his daughter Miss E Ferguson Bell to the Derby Corporation in November 1951
