Sir Alexander Roger was Chairman of the British Insulated and Callender Cables Company between 1930 and 1966. He did in fact oversee the amalgamation of British Insulated Cables, based in Prescot, and Callender Cables of Erith, Kent which created the BICC Ltd in 1945.
