Shiva sits astride a horse, holding his drum (a damaru) in his right hand and the horse's reins in his left. Behind his left arm, struck into the saddle, is his Trishula (trident). The horse has a detailed head and mane, and is wearing a decorated blanket which is flared out around its body.
