The Hindu god Shiva, seated at left, visualizes the goddess Chhinnamasta (an avatar of his consort, Parvati), from whose neck blood flows to her severed head and two of her female devotees. At lower right are Kamadeva (god of sensual love) and his consort Rati in the act of copulation.
