Three moorland sheep lying on an irregular sandstone base. The artwork was originally sited near the main entrance to the Rochdale Exchange Shopping Centre in 1978. The sheep were a reminder of an earlier period in Rochdale's history, when the manufacture of woollen cloth was the dominant local industry. In 2000 the sculpture was moved outside, and placed on the floor in front of one of the entrances leading into the centre from the car park. In 2013 it was re-instated in its original site at the Yorkshire Street entrance.
