A seventeenth century Japanese polychrome wood figure of Seitaka Doji on a gilt cloud. Seitaka Doji is a heavenly maiden (Apsara) and one of the attendants of Fudo Myoo – an incarnation of the Dhyani Buddha Vairocana. Probably once part of architectural decorations for a shrine or temple.
