John Ridgewell
1937–2004
Painter and teacher, born in Halstead, Essex. He studied at Colchester School of Art, 1954–8, then Royal College of Art, 1958–61. Taught at Scarborough School of Art, 1961–6, then gave up to concentrate on painting.
