Bonaventura Peeters I
1614–1652
(bapt. Antwerp, 23 July 1614; d Hoboken [now a district of Antwerp], 25 July 1652). Flemish marine painter. He was virtually the only noteworthy Flemish practitioner in the genre, seascapes being much more a Dutch speciality.
