Philip Nicol
b.1953
Painter and teacher, born in Caerphilly, Glamorganshire, who attended Cardiff Art College, 1972–6. Was lecturer in fine art at South Glamorgan Institute of Higher Education, Cardiff, 1979–82; lectured at Limerick School of Art in Ireland, 1983–4; had a residency at Kunststiftung, Stuttgart, West Germany, 1984; and, based in Cardiff, taught in a range of other art schools.
