Jens Juel
1745–1802
(b Balslev, Funen [now Fyn], 12 May 1745; d Copenhagen, 27 Dec. 1802). Danish painter. He had a distinguished career both in Denmark and on his travels throughout Europe—he studied in Hamburg and between 1772 and 1779 he worked successively in Dresden, Rome, Paris, and Geneva.
