Willem Cornelisz. Duyster
c.1599–1635
(bapt. Amsterdam, 30 Aug. 1599; bur. Amsterdam, 31 Jan. 1635). Dutch painter of genre scenes and portraits, active mainly in his native Amsterdam. Most of his paintings depict soldiers, sometimes fighting or looting, but more usually drinking, gaming, or wooing.
