Hendrick Avercamp
1585–1634
(bapt. Amsterdam, 25 Jan. 1585; bur. Kampen, 15 May 1634). Dutch painter and draughtsman, active in Kampen, the most famous exponent of the winter landscape, which he established as a distinct category in Dutch art.
