Philip Bews
b.1951
Figurative sculptor working in various materials who was included in Merseyside Artists 3, a Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool, touring show in 1986–7. Bews gained a diploma in landscape architecture from Manchester Polytechnic, 1970–4, then a first-class degree in fine art from Liverpool Polytechnic, 1983–6, having worked for eight years for Runcorn New Town Development Corporation as an associate landscape architect.
