'Sea Legend', sculpted by Shawn Williamson, is a large sandstone sculpture unveiled in 2000. The sculpture portrays a person, ambiguous in gender and dressed in a thick furry coat carrying an enormous fish, their hand engulfed within its spiked toothy mouth. The red of the sandstone is now mottled with the green of lichen and greys of bird excrement, yet the piece still retains a mythical quality, the figure staring out towards the sea as they appear paused in a journey towards a mystical end.
