SCUNTHORPE STEELWORKERS SCULPTURE / Dedicated to all past and present steelworkers and their families from Scunthorpe and the surrounding areas / For those who spent their working lived keeping the steel production flowing through the Second World War / To their contribution to the war effort, the British economy and to the building of this town / To those who were injured or lost their lives in service on the steelworks / This is a debt that can never be repaid but will never be forgotten. / SCULPTOR – RAY LONSDALE
