? Of Giovanni Francesco Barbiere commonly called Guercino (squint-eyed)/born at Cento, near Bologna on 2nd ? 1594….Rome and painted his masterpiece ?S? Domitilla now in the Capitol (in 1901). He did many other pieces and died in Bologna 22nd Dec 1666. This transcription: "label on centre top back of oil painting of ? St Peter, now in front hall. (17/9/81).
