Photograph taken at the Digraphe a Edimbourg, a day of protests organised by the Saint-Just Vigilantes in defence of Ian Hamilton Finlay against accusations of fascism made by the French art establishment. In the background are visible a number of helium balloons, which were symbolically released as the last event in the programme on 21 April 1988. The photograph was probably taken by Joyce Laing, who attended on this day.
