The donor's arms, held by a young boy, are in a tree above. Right panel: Saint Barbara, wearing a martyr's crown and holding a peacock's feather, presenting a female donor, a young woman in a dark red gown, behind whom are two small girls before a walled town. The donor's arms are carried by an angel above. Reverse: Forming the outer surface of the triptych when closed, painted in grisaille in the form of a niche with a parapet, and within it, on an entwined ribbon, the following inscription of the memento mori type: 'VOS.QVI.TRANSITIS.
