A standing figure in stone with raised arm, on tall circular pedestal of polished granite. Robert Hall, born at Arnesby near Leicester, was a Baptist clergyman and outstanding preacher, advocated freedom of press, was influenced by French Revolution to speak against corrupt government, and a supporter of Joseph Priestley.
