A male carved and painted figure which is one of a pair. He is set on a square plinth, which has floral plaques in the middle of each side and at the corners. The figure has two calves and feet, painted white, and two hands, also painted white, but the main body is represented by a rod on top of which is the carved and painted head, also painted white with features including a moustache in black and red. The hands are in a gesture with thumb touching end of the index finger. The body is covered with Chinese coins, kepeng, attached to one another with thread to represent a costume which covers the entire body, arms and upper part of legs. It has a necklet and apron of red fabric covered with openwork decoration of carved (?) leather (?). Above this are two coins, bent into a concave form, perhaps representing a buckle.
