Originally the enthroned statue of Queen Victoria, in crown and coronation robes, was flanked by two bronze figures of Peace and Industry. Only Peace remains. Industry, represented by a smith, was severely damaged by vandalism and is now held in storage by Leeds City Council. It has a base of four stone steps. The plinth has mouldings on the front and rear and a continuous frieze.
