Sir Curtis Price (b.1945), Principal of the Royal Academy of Music 1995–2008, led the Academy’s development of No.s 1–5 York Gate with added practice rooms and the new Museum, along with the building of the David Josefowitz Recital Hall. In the background of this portrait, to the left, is the depiction of a view through the stringed-instrument workshop on the first floor of the Museum and, on the right, one of the instrument display cases in the gallery.
