This is one of many 'portrait benches' creates by Sustrans to mark the National Cycle Route. Each comprise a wooden bench in front of a portrait silhouette, in this case three portraits with subjects chosen by the local community. The portraits are approximately life-size, laser cut in sheet steel, based on photographs. The subjects here are Beryl Burton, OBE (a champion cyclist), Nicola Adams, MBE (an Olympic boxer), and, chosen by local children, a water vole.
