The vessel, built in 1905, was owned by the Lancashire Steam Fishing Co. Ltd of Fleetwood. It had run ashore on the Isle of Man and was being towed to Hull for repairs when it foundered and beached. The remains of its boiler are still visible on the site which is near Kynance, recognisable from both the Lion Rock and the Lizard Lighthouse on the top of the cliff.

The image is taken from a photograph.
