One of three pandas created for the New Era scheme, a modern Chinese Asian development. A main panda, previously sited on one of the buildings is accompanied by this work, one of two smaller pandas – Mester resting on a bench and another Coe Coe clambering up the side of a pillar. The panda is seen as a symbol of friendship.
