Diana Hoyle was born and lived most of her life in Cornwall, becoming an established oil artist known for her landscapes of the area. As well as selling works nationwide, her paintings have appeared on set in West End theatres and one was turned into a popular greetings card.

This painting depicts her beloved Tehidy Woods where she grew up, along with her best friend Janice’s house with the family washing outside.
