The Oscar Wilde Memorial Walk sculpture comprises two metal gates with the image of Oscar Wilde laser cut into them. It also consists of railings of similar material and fabrication, which incorporate poetry by Irish poet Paul Muldoon and the words that Wilde is said to have exclaimed on his release from Reading Gaol in 1897: 'oh beautiful world'. These railings extend the whole riverside length of the walk. In addition, the overall sculpture includes three metal love seats, painted red, and a wood and stone bench which is the same size as Oscar Wilde's prison bed.
