One of a series of seven advertising posters displaying the range of the Museum’s collections produced in the late 1970s. This poster features objects drawn from a number of cultures then housed in the Department of Oriental Antiquities (from which the current Department of Asia is derived). These include Hindu and Buddhist sculptures, a Chinese cup and primitive flint tools. Prominently featured (bottom right) is an eighth-century bronze statue of the goddess Tara, from Sri Lanka.
