This piece, which has a naive quality to it, shows a pastoral landscape in which the dark sky emphasises the yellow of the hills and fields. The trees in particular are all very similar, basic shapes and are all leaning slightly which gives the feeling of a breezy day. There is a feeling of movement in this piece and the fields are all slightly different in tone.
