This work was exhibited at the Society of Artists in 1780, no. 181. A print, etched by Samuel Middiman and engraved by William Ellis, was published by Middiman, 25th January 1787, by which time the painting was owned by R. P. Jones. This print was plate 28 in Select Views in Great Britain, published by John and Josiah Boydell.
