Narcissus as a youth wearing sandals, with a goatskin over one shoulder, leaning on one hip and looking downwards. This is a copy after a much-reproduced antique bronze found in Pompeii and now held in Naples. The bronze was first identified as Narcissus but later on thought to be Dionysus, based on the grapes adorning his head and on the nebris (skin of a fawn) draped over his left shoulder.
