Mrs Bennett, in a lace cap and a brown dress. Another portrait of the same person (in the Wellcome Library collection, catalogue no.603108i) shows her afflicted with a skin disease covering most of her face and parts of her neck and chest, and gives her name. Part of a collection of paintings depicting gentlefolk of Leeds with grievous illnesses.
