Although Pearson died in 1686, it wasn't until 1820 that a tomb was raised to commemorate him. It rested in the east end of the Choir. This later monument dates from 1862 and is located in the North Transcept. It has a recumbent figure of the Bishop lying on an ornate tomb which features 12 relief carved busts and a prayer inscription.
