Three-stepped square base surmounted by a tapered plinth and a figure of a Cameron Highlander with rifle in one hand, the butt of which rests on the ground. The figure of a sphinx rests on a step behind the feet of the Cameron Highlander. There is an inscription on the sides of the plinth. The unveiling date was chosen to mark the centenary of the regiment. The Directors of the Highland Railway gifted the ground
