This painting was commissioned by a local company to commemorate well known and loved buildings in Luton, including the Corn Exchange, Pedder's Cottage, the old Town Hall and other buildings which have frequently served as the subject of paintings. The montage hung in the Town Hall for many years and is now on display in the Life's Journey gallery of Stockwood Discovery Centre.
