Watercolour on paper of Monk Bar. Two plain 18th century buildings flank the view. On the right hand side one is a sign reading ‘UNICORN INN S DIXON WINES &C’. A low pantiled building to the left of this bears the name ‘BOWMAN’ on a sign. There are the usual figures and carts, and two men in smocks on the left. The image is within ruled lines and inscribed below in ink: “Drawn C Dillon, Monk Bar”. Charles Dillon, c1836.
