Information provided by the artist about the artwork reads: 'This piece was made because of the urban life in South East London where we had recently moved to live and work when this piece was made. We are near East Street Market where Charlie Chaplin made film "Easy Street"… The market stalls in the area have wonderful Victorian wheels but are being replaced by by plastic wheels that swivel round. My studio is on a site where a blacksmith repaired market stall wheels.'
