Granite ensemble of fountain base with canopy, supported by four ionic columns. The roof capitals and column bases are bronze. Within this a bronze figure of Serenity – a female figure pouring water into three lion-headed bowls with spouts. The granite bowls have floral relief supports. The original statue was replaced by one sculpted by Stephen Melton in 1993.

ON / TUESDAY 9TH NOVEMBER 1993; there are four more relief bronze inscriptions on lower base
