Coal sculpture to commemorate the 1980's miners strike. It was unveiled on International Women's Day, Friday 8th March, 1991 by Peter Heathfield, the General Secretary for the National Union of Mineworkers, Dennis Skinner M.P., Mark and Doreen Jones, National Women Against Pit Closures and Billy Etherington from the Justice for Mineworkers Campaign.
