A full-length portrait in oils, slightly to the right, showing Major-General Arthur Tooker Collins of the Marines in his full dress uniform, his right hand thrust into his waistcoat, with an encampment of Marines behind in a forested landscape, perhaps a reference to his service in North America during the War of American Independence. This is the only known portrait of Collins. The canvas is inscribed: 'Artr Tooker Collins 1784'; his age is given as 66. Three uniform coats of the 1782 pattern owned by Collins are also in the collection (see UNI0014–16). UNI0014 and UNI0015 are both dress coats making it highly likely that one is the example shown in portrait.
