This sculpture celebrates the history of the Hills Road area of Cambridge, which was home to Rattee and Kett Stoneworks, formed in 1842. It was famous for fine restoration work on the Cambridge Colleges and important historic buildings nationwide. The nearby remaining Rattee and Kett building was the old drawing office where architectural plans were drawn up and measured templates made.
