This is a World War II blackout panel from the Wrens' (Women's Royal Naval Air Service) Mess at Royal Naval Air Station Machrihanish. Some of the panels have been decorated with social scenes. 825 Naval Air Squadron of the Fleet Air Arm was stationed at Machrihanish several times from 1942–1945, with various aircraft types.
