A plaster replica of a statue of Lord Nelson which stands in Pembroke Gardens, Southsea. The original was executed by F. Brook Hitch to designs by Dr H. J. Aldous, who bequeathed this piece. Painted to give a bronze effect, the full-length figure stands with his left hand on his hip and right leg raised slightly on block and tackle. The empty sleeve is looped up.
