An engineer by training, Gabo here uses new materials like perspex and nylon to create an illusion of a continuous parabolic form – and a work of ethereal beauty. Always at the forefront of avant-garde art, Gabo sought to produce objects that 'appeal more to our minds and our feelings than to our crude physical senses'.
