An everyday scene in a milliner's workshop. Two young women are seated sewing opposite a tall stand to the right, laden with hats. There is an open door in the background, and a large piece of paper pinned to the wall on the left. Light greys and dark colours dominate the scene, interrupted by a few vibrant details in the hats to the right.
