As an essential piece of equipment for the British forces for many years, the Land Rover has proved its versatility in armed conflict both home and abroad. The lightweight Land Rover could be dropped into any battle arena by air, together with supplies and communications. Frank Wootton’s view of desert conflict ably illustrates the operation of delivering Land Rovers and associated equipment by air in the midst of the battle zone.
