Tweed shows her head and shoulders rising out of the swathes of drapery that make up her dress. She is shown with her hair piled up in an elaborate style, and she looks as if she is about to make her entrance at a party. Lady Londonderry's haughty expression certainly captures an air of pride and confidence. The bust was also produced in marble, and made Tweed's reputation when it was exhibited in 1909, but its current location is unknown. The bronze was purchased by Reading Foundation for Art in 2000 and given to Reading Museum.
