To commemorate the 2012 Olympics in London, Haringey Council commissioned a selection of artists to work with local schools and contribute to the 'Oooooh Art' collection and exhibition that was held at Bruce Castle Museum in the Olympic year. Artist Sara Noble was one of the artists. Her own response was a direct, literal interpretation – recreating the five Olympics Rings as knitted circles. By using knitting as her medium in this project, Sara aimed to reflect the Olympic values. She mixed the same five colours within the same formation to highlight the Olympic values; by mixing the colours together within each ring this represented integration. Different patterns stood for diversity. Equality was represented by all the rings being the same.
