A stone drinking fountain on a circular plinth with flower beds, and steps. There two fountains, with bowls, in shell recesses with projecting keystones, and string course and patera. It has a pediment top, with acanthus cornice and foliate panels on east and west sides. It was presented to the town of Halstead by George Courtauld, 1888, and is situated in place of the old market cross, to commemorate the Golden Jubilee of Queen Victoria.
